When will Russia circulate its first Covid19 Vaccine?

Russia has registered the first in the world vaccine against the Coronavirus Disease 19 (Covid19) as confirmed by the country’s head himself, President Vladimir Putin, Tuesday, August 11, 2020.

“As far as I know, this morning, for the first time in the world, a vaccine against a new coronavirus infection has been registered,” President Putin said.

 “I know that it works quite efficiently, forms a stable immunity and, I repeat, has passed all the necessary checks,” the Russian leader added.

When will it be circulated?

According to the Russian Health Ministry that the vaccine developed by Gamaleya Research Center will be in civilian circulation starting January 1, 2021.

A Russian News Agency also reported that the Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko emphasized that the doctors and teachers will be first to get vaccinated in Russia.

Meanwhile, in one of Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte’s pronouncements, he said that Russia will also put Philippines as one of the countries to be prioritized for supplies as soon as the vaccine will be available. And for this, Duterte and the Filipino people will be forever grateful with its allied country like Russia.

As of this writing, Russia has recorded 897,599 Covid 19 cases while Philippines records 139,538 cases. |
